Collaboration with Namangan State University and Fergana State University of Uzbekistan


On May 13–14, 2025, the Department of History welcomed scholars from Namangan State University and Fergana State University of Uzbekistan. On May 13, 2025, an event titled "Our People Have Deep Roots and a Rich History" was held. During the event, Associate Professor Nizamzhan Gafurov, Candidate of Historical Sciences, presented a report on "The Course of Archaeological Excavations at Akhsykent." History students Myrzygul Kutmanaly Kyzy and Nursultan Esbolov also shared insights from the "Namangan Archaeological Expedition" conducted in 2024. In addition, Kurmanbek Khaidarov, a master’s student in the department, delivered a presentation on his research topic, "Ethnic Kyrgyz in the Fergana Valley."

On May 14, 2025, Professors Nariman Dekhkanov and Bokhodir Ganiev from Namangan State University, along with Professor Kubatbek Tabaldiev from Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University, appeared on the “Tema” program on Manas TV. They discussed joint archaeological research and ongoing cooperation between the two universities. The collaboration between KTMU and Namangan State University is set to continue throughout the year. In the near future, faculty members, graduate students, and undergraduates from the Department of History will again visit Namangan State University.
