The "Knowing a Language is a key of the heart" Seminar was held on the occasion of Kyrgyz Language Day.


On Tuesday, September 23, 2025, a seminar titled "Knowing a Language is a key of the heart" was held by the Kalem Student Club of the KTMU Faculty of Theology. The program was met with considerable interest from students, faculty members, and guests. Dr. Taştemirova Rayhan Ismailovna, a lecturer at the KTMU School of Foreign Languages, was the speaker.

In her speech, Dr. Taştemirova emphasized the Kyrgyz language's status as the official language of the state, emphasizing that it is not only a means of communication but also a fundamental element of the nation's cultural identity and independence. She also made important assessments of the current state of the Kyrgyz language. She touched upon the Orkhon Inscriptions, revealing the Kyrgyz language's historical roots and its value to the Turkic world.

Describing Kyrgyz as "a language as fluent as beautiful poetry," Dr. Taştemirova stated that it is a great responsibility for young people to embrace their native language. She emphasized that preserving and developing the language is the most valuable legacy to be passed on to future generations.

At the end of the program, a Kyrgyz language quiz was held to boost student interest. Students who achieved high scores were awarded various prizes.

Participants expressed their hope that the seminar was both academically and culturally insightful and expressed their hope that such events will continue.
