The Faculty of Theology at Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University (KTMU) successfully implemented a social responsibility project during the month of Ramadan in 2025, entitled “Blessings of Ramadan.” The program consisted of 29 episodes broadcast on Manas Radio from March 1 to March 19, 2025, every day before iftar. Each episode lasted approximately 40 minutes.
The program was coordinated by Prof. Dr. Kemal Polat from the Faculty of Theology. Various academic staff members participated, providing insights on different topics related to the month of Ramadan and the practice of fasting.
The broadcasts covered the moral dimensions of fasting, concepts of God in the Islamic world, the exemplary life of Lady Khadija, and the influence of Ramadan traditions on the religious sentiments of youth. In addition, the ethical aspects of prayer, pilgrimage, and worship were examined in detail. The programs aimed to convey the spiritual depth of Ramadan to society in a correct and scientific way, while also promoting tolerance, brotherhood, and social harmony.
The main purpose of the project was to provide accurate, scientific, and comprehensive information about Ramadan and fasting, thereby strengthening feelings of peace, unity, and solidarity within society. It was emphasized that fasting is not only a religious duty, but also has sociological, psychological, and spiritual dimensions.
Each broadcast encouraged a conscious approach to worship in line with the spirit of Ramadan, helping people experience this sacred period with inner peace.
