“Washing and Shrouding the Corpse”
On Thursday, April 3, 2025 at 16:00 at Satuk Buğra Han Mosque, KTMU Faculty of Theology Lecturer Mirgül Bekmurzaeva gave a seminar titled “Washing and Shrouding the Corpse” for women in order to contribute to the survival of religious and cultural values in society. Many women from different age groups attended the seminar. In the seminar, how the funeral washing and shrouding procedures should be carried out in accordance with religious procedures was explained in detail. Both theoretical information was conveyed to the participants and the importance of the subject was emphasized with practical examples.
In the seminar, it was stated that women in particular should have sufficient knowledge on this subject, and the importance of carrying out the spiritual services needed in society by conscious individuals was emphasized.
Questions were answered at the end of the event. Participants expressed their satisfaction by stating that the seminar was both educational and awareness-raising.
