The Philosophy of Peace and Humanism of Chingiz Aitmatov and Daisaku Ikeda


 

On 21 May 2026, the International Scientific Conference entitled “The Philosophy of Peace and Humanism of Daisaku Ikeda and Chingiz Aitmatov: Spiritual Foundations of Sustainable Development in the 21st Century” was held at the Center for Digital Technologies in the main building of the Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn. The conference was organized by the Bozjol Center for Philosophical Research, Soka Gakkai International, and ISITO.

The conference brought together scholars from Kyrgyzstan, Japan, Russia, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Germany, and other countries. Participants presented academic papers that sought to re-examine and philosophically interpret the thoughts of Chingiz Aitmatov and Daisaku Ikeda concerning the spiritual development of humanity in the context of contemporary global transformations. At the same time, participants focused on key issues such as the spiritual crisis of the 21st century, humanism, intercultural dialogue, and the philosophy of peace. The conference contributed significantly to the promotion of humanistic values and the advancement of international intellectual dialogue.
