The Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Somalia to Ankara and Bishkek Fathudin Ali Mohamed, together with his accompanying delegation visited Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University and met with Rector Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan and Deputy Rector Prof. Dr. Almaz Ibraev. During the visit, opportunities for enhancing international cooperation in higher education, cultural exchange, and academic partnerships were discussed.
The parties exchanged views on strengthening educational diplomacy between Somalia, Türkiye, and Kyrgyzstan, increasing student and academicians mobility, and supporting joint projects. As part of the program, Ambassador Mohamed also visited the Manas TV studios, one of the university’s applied media education centers. He received information about the university’s media infrastructure, technical equipment, and recently completed renovation works. The visit also included presentations on broadcasting activities, digital content production processes, and practical training opportunities that allow students to gain field experience.
The visit also included the KTMU High School of Foreign Languages. Information was provided about language education activities, academic programs offered to international students, and the multicultural learning environment. Ambassador Mohamed noted that the university’s strong educational infrastructure and multilingual, internationally oriented teaching model were impressive, adding that he found the visit valuable in terms of potential future cooperation.
