Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry Torobaev Visited Manas University
On October 1, 2025, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry Bakyt Torobaev paid a courtesy visit to Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University (KTMU).
Minister Torobaev was welcomed by KTMU Rector Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan, Deputy Rector Prof. Dr. Almaz İbraev, and Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. İsmet Altıntaş and Prof. Dr. Kamalbek Karymshakov. During the meeting held in the Rectorate, Rector Prof. Dr. Ceylan expressed his pleasure in hosting Minister Torobaev and his accompanying delegation at the university.
As part of the program, Minister Torobaev and his delegation met with the university`s administration and faculty deans in the Senate Hall. During the meeting, detailed presentations were made on the scientific and practical projects being conducted within KTMU’s faculties.
Emphasizing the importance of cooperation in his speech, Minister Torobaev stated: “We are here with our delegation, which works in various fields, to get acquainted with you and to exchange experiences. We wish to share knowledge and develop cooperation in key areas such as water resources, agriculture, recycling, logistics, cooperation, mechanization, export, investment, education, digitalization, and experience exchange.”
Minister Torobaev also congratulated Manas University on its 30th anniversary, highlighting its esteemed position: “Manas University is a higher education institution distinguished by its prestige and recognition. The desire of our youth to study here is quite high. We wish you continued success in your valuable work.”
As part of the visit, the delegation toured the laboratories of the Faculty of Sciences led by Dean Prof. Dr. Gülbübü Kurmanbekova, where they received detailed information about studies in molecular genetics, biotechnology, biochemistry-histochemistry, and general biology. They then visited the laboratories of the Faculty of Engineering, accompanied by Dean Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nurzat Totubaeva, and examined ongoing practical projects. The program continued with a visit to the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, guided by academician Prof. Dr. Askarbek Tulobaev, where the delegation observed clinical and laboratory facilities.
The courtesy visit concluded with the presentation of a gift to Minister Torobaev on behalf of the university and a group photo.
