The Faculty of Humanities and the Department of Turkology organized a seminar entitled “950 years since the writing of the work ‘Divanu lugat at-Turk’”
UNESCO declared 2024 the "Year of the Divanu Lughat at-Türk." On May 7, 2024, as part of the celebrations, the Faculty of Humanities and the Department of Turkology organized a seminar, "950th Anniversary of the Writing of the Divanu Lughat at-Türk." The seminar was held in the K. Tynystanov Conference Hall.
At the beginning of the program, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities Professor and PhD Alpaslan Ashık delivered an opening speech.
During the seminar, Professor and PhD Ozan Yılmaz, Acting Assoc. Prof. and PhD Negizbek Shabdanaliev, and Junior Research Fellow and PhD Zarina Zhalbieva presented papers on Mahmud Kashkari and his work "Divanu Lughat at-Türk," as well as related research.
