SYMPOSIUM / Cultural Codes of the Turkish World "From Aşık Alasgar to Üzeyir Hacıbeyli"
On September 25-26, 2025, an international scientific symposium entitled "From Ashig Alasgar to Uzeyir Hajibeyli: Cultural Codes of the Turkic World" was held in Baku. It was organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, the Azerbaijan National Conservatory, and the Institute of Folklore of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences. Associate Professor Karagul Tilenchiev, head of our Musical Arts department, presented a paper entitled "Uzeyir Hajibeyov and his opera "Koroghlu" as a symbol of the unity of the Turkic peoples."
