The Manas Debate Club (Russian League) is one of the most prominent and successful debate clubs in Bishkek and across Kyrgyzstan. Founded in 2008 at Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University, the club has been fostering essential skills such as logical thinking, leadership, and public speaking for over 15 years.
Club activities are conducted in the British Parliamentary Format (BPF). This format enables participants to express their ideas clearly and effectively, construct compelling arguments, and engage in respectful, constructive debate. Each year, club members earn around 10 trophies and medals, consistently achieving top rankings in national and international tournaments.
Membership is exclusive to students of Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University, which helps build a focused and ambitious community. The club plays a key role in advancing debate culture in Kyrgyzstan by organizing 6–7 high-quality tournaments annually.
More than just a debate platform, Manas Debate Club serves as a training ground for leadership, oratory, and intellectual growth. Widely recognized throughout the country, the club takes pride in its strong reputation and enduring impact.
